Legal matters can be complex and emotionally charged — our approach is designed to give clients both strategic representation and peace of mind.

Cara N. Anan is a skilled and dedicated family law attorney representing clients throughout New Jersey and New York in matters involving divorce, custody, child and spousal support, and domestic violence. With a reputation for sharp advocacy and meticulous case preparation, Cara is known for guiding clients through every stage of the legal process—from mediation and settlement panels to complex courtroom litigation—while providing steady counsel during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
Before establishing herself in private practice, Cara served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Richard W. English, P.J.F.P., in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Part. This formative experience gave her an inside perspective on how courts evaluate family law disputes, further sharpening her ability to craft persuasive arguments and anticipate judicial reasoning.
Cara is a graduate of New York Law School, where she honed her passion for advocacy and legal writing, and Drew University, where she graduated cum laude with a strong foundation in critical analysis and communication. Today, she extends her commitment to education and mentorship by serving as an adjunct professor, where she helps train and inspire future legal professionals.
In addition to her courtroom skills, Cara brings a compassionate and client-centered approach to her practice. She understands that family law matters involve not only legal rights but also the emotional well-being of families.
Her dedication to excellence in advocacy and client service has earned her repeated recognition as a Super Lawyers Rising Star (2023–2025).
